Boat Parade

“Celebrating 50 Years of Preserving Maine’s Maritime Heritage”
Vessels should report to the dock at the Maine Maritime Museum south of the Sagadahoc bridge in Bath by 12:30 PM Wednesday July 4th, 2012 for a 1 PM departure for Bath’s Waterfront Park. Dress you and your vessel for the occasion, be prepared to make festive noise and show the spectators the spirit of this celebration of Independence Day and Maine’s Maritime Heritage. Then enjoy Downtown Bath, check out the bands and the carnival!

Schedule:
- 11:00am -12:30pm: Registration at Maine Maritime Museum or pre-register by emailing captained@riverruntours.com
- 1:00 pm: Depart Maine Maritime Museum
- 1:30 pm: Arrive at Waterfront Park in Downtown Bath
- All are encouraged to decorate their boats patriotically! Theme Maine’s Maritime Heritage
- Maximum Height: 72
- Day of parade we will be monitoring VHF Channel 68
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Best Decorated Vessel – 1st and 2nd prizes
- Best Classic/Antique Vessel (1970′s and older) – 1st and 2nd prizes
- Most Distant Hailing Port
Parade awards ceremony will be at the waterfront at 3pm.
We will be monitoring Marine VHF Channel 68 the afternoon of the parade!
