About the bands: “Variety is the spice of life”, and that is what you will find at Bath Heritage Days this year for entertainment!

Performing on the Water Front Park Stage will be a wide array of performers with everything from local dance companies to Nationally touring musical acts.There will be something everyday of the festival  beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday with Run Of The Mill. Headlining that night is Bath’s own Kevin Gilmore. Kevin is a local singer/songwriter with a seasoned voice and a stage presence that makes you want to stay until the bitter end. He plays everything from country to rock and has won National Awards for his performance.

Saturday July 3rd is going to be a full day for the Water Front Stage beginning at 11:00 AM with Gemini Dance Company. To follow will be a Teen Drum Ensemble and a Teen Classic Rock Band, the Junk Yard Dawgs J(Rock with Teeth), 5 Above, Shy Green and to polish off the night is Twyce Shye, the one and only 80′s hair band metal, sure to rock you out with their great guitar riff’s, rockin’ ballad’s & vocals.

On Saturday July 4th the festivities begin at 2:00 with the dance master of fun Tony Zumba. Great for the family and following him at 3:30 is Robert Washington, a crowd favorite of Bath Heritage Days. Every year he fills the streets with fans enjoying his great renditions from the King of Rock, Elvis Presley. Next up at 5:30 is Nancy Cartonio of Portland Maine. Nancy is a singer/songwriter, who writes Pop and experimental music.Her voice reminds me of Karen Carpenter with soul.She will be performing originals like Strange Soliliquy to cover songs such as Rehab by Amy Winehouse. Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations will close the night out with their “bodacious renditions” of soul & blues. Be prepared to tap your feet and boogey down, they are fabulous!

The final day of the festival is Monday July 5th and do we have some entertainment for you. Opening the day at 2:00 will be a Teen Latin Salsa Band to swing you into action for. At 4:00 The Blues Buzzards will knock you out with their fabulous Rhythm & Blues. Performing covers from Robert Johnson to B.B. King to Muddy Waters. To follow at 6:30 is Becoming August.Lead singer Anna Libby will blow you away with her powerhouse vocal performance. They are like an explosion of sunshine playing songs in a wide variety of genre’s from country to rock to pop. There will be something for everyone. And we always save the best for last. To entertain you through the fireworks, beginning at 8:30 and ending at 11:00 is Mystic Bowie. A Rockin’ Reggae Band. Lead singer, Mystic and his band mates Tina Weynouth and Chris frantz (The Talking Heads) are well schooled in Reggae and Caribean musical genre’s. They have traveled the world and been perfoming with The Tom Tom Club since 2000. Mystic’s music is uplifting and positive.– He has performed onstage with the likes of the B-52’s, Trey Anastasio (Phish), members of Widespread Panic, and Warren Haynes. Mystic brings together musicians who create music that truly possess a hard-rocking, deeply funky reggae foundation.


Performing on the Library Park Stage will be another great assortment of music from roots to reggae!

On Friday, the Bath Municipal Swing Band will perform from 5pm-7pm during the Bath Sunrise Rotary Club’s annual Chicken Barbecue.

On Saturday, Jimmie Joe and The Jumbolayuhs kick things off with Hot Cajun and sizzling Zydeco from the Bayous of Midcoast Maine. Crowd favorites everywhere they go. Next up are The Roberts with the world famous Byrnes’ Irish Pub Scouts Band Experience the joy of old fashioned Music Hall and Irish American Songs and sing along with the best! To follow at 1:45pm is Lee Stearns, a Yarmouth based Singer/Songwriter and favorite of the Clam Festival crowds. At 2:30, Phat Grass will bring festival goers he hottest new Blue Grass Band on the New England festival scene, with tight vocal harmonies and hot licks from “ Bub” Cooper, Brian Gelina and their exciting band of professionals. At 3:45, The Mark Miller Band is up.  Mark “Guitar” Miller has a new album that’s burning up the charts from Memphis to Millinocket. This is electric Blues at its best. Back by popular demand, don’t miss this world class Bluesman and his incredible band!

On Sunday at 11:00am, Brand New Mix will make you swear you’re on a beach in Jamaica when you hear the infectious Reggae and Island Music that these guys pump out. Dancing is encouraged! Following at 12:45, The Half Moon Jug Band is Fun, Fun, Fun with hilarious Maine Humor. Renowned for their great playing and crazy antics, this bunch of nuts will have you laughing from their first song on! The perfect following act is The Boneheads with Katie Webber, playing the absolute best Roots and Americana Music in the East. The Boneheads are a Who’s Who of studio musicians who’ve played with everyone from Roseanne Cash to BB King. Their records are a delightful mix of R&B, Country, and great American Rock and Roll. Katie Webber is the Queen of the folk scene in Central Maine and responsible for the highly acclaimed Monday Night Concert Series at Slate’s Restaurant in Hallowell. She’ll be performing a mixture of beautiful folk songs from her records and standards that you can sing along with. Solo and with the Boneheads this is a real treat so don’t miss her!

In the gazebo on Monday night, the Bath Municipal Concert Band will play a pre-fireworks show from 8pm until the fireworks begin at 9:15…the perfect finale to a great weekend!
